Baker Street Bistro in San Francisco

The food was crazy salty! If you don't used to go strong on salt ask ahead of time for light salt, especially on fries. The lemonade was delicious.

I have been to this place twice and LOVED it both times. The food is great, but more importantly, the owner and staff are some of the sweetest people I have yet to meet in San Francisco. The atmosphere lends itself to a little romance or good times for a large crowd. The menu changes seasonally. I liked my mussels - nice white wine broth and yummy french fries and loved the salmon dish. I am always too full to try dessert, but they sure look good!!

Baker street bistro just feels really French. It's really quite cozy. Lovely place to be eating breakfast and drinking coffee.

I am a local and love the French Onion soup. We went the other night, and I was disappointed. I ordered the Chevre Salad and the Chevre was encased in a hard breading of some kind but it was as hard as a hockey puck. I have typically ordered chevre salads with light breading so the chevre oozes out when cut. This was not that experience. It was also super noisy due to a table of 12 drunk women, which was embarrassing to watch (the latter, not the restaurant's fault.) I had fonder memories of previous visits and will try again. Everyone has an off night.

Quaint. Comfortable. Accommodating staff. I tried the prixe fixe menu. Modest yet incredibly well prepared entree. Portions were appropriately sized. Wines by the glass were pricey and undeserved by the quality served. Seemed to have several regulars, though. on balance I would return.

A worldwide favorite indeed. Mandatory stop when in SF. Make sure to get the strawberry in balsamic vinegar dessert! You will get the nicest service in town with amazing food.

One of the best places for the French food in town. We were just walking across the street, and just sat there for some wine. However, we ended up eating full course meal.Servers are quick, and helpful. Food arrives a bit slower, but worth the wait. We had Risotto and Goat Cheese Salad. Both were amazing.Wine selection is really good. A bit on expensive side, but worth the try.

Charming and authentic bistro - the owner speaks French! Try the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce was very buttery and delicious and the eggs were poached perfectly. Bon Appetit!

This is a lovely little restaurant not cheap but worth every dime and then some The food is always top quality and well made I'd recommend this for a romantic lunch or a business lunch or a wonderful evening out or brunch on the weekends

The best croque monsieur I've had outside of France and the light mustard vinaigrette on the greens tasted perfectly of France. The attentive staff and bistro atmosphere were perfect, and I will definitely be back next time I find myself in San Francisco.

We live within walking distance and have never been. Huge mistake on our part! Best Croque Monsieur ever. Great friendly service as well. No clue why we drive to zazie to fight for parking and wait an hour.

I can't believe I've waited this long to write a review, because this place is one of the best restaurants in San Francisco.Everything I've ever gotten here is delicious- the French onion soup, the salmon with the most delicious sauce over sautéed spinach and sweet potato mash, the goat cheese salad, the creme brûlée, everything!!But also, the owners really make the experience amazing. They are incredibly kind and welcoming, and make every time we go a great night. The staff here are professionals- they know when to check up on you and when to leave you alone.You should go here! :)
